Soldupe Standalone – F.A.Q.

 

What is Soldupe Standalone?

With Soldupe Standalone we provide you with a custom Nextcloud instance, completely managed by us. We install and operate Nextcloud for you on a dedicated server, which is exclusively used only by you.

This means that we can provide you with a custom Nextcloud installation, fully tailored to your needs concerning Nextcloud Apps and configuration. From your point of view, you operate your own Nextcloud installation with the difference that you do not need any know-how, as we as “your IT department” do all the work for you.

It’s no problem if you do not know about Nextcloud in detail. You just send us your requirements, we will find the right solution together with you and implement it for you!

Which Nextcloud Apps can I use?

You can use any apps offered in the official Nextcloud App Store that are not labeled as experimental.

 

Is Soldupe Standalone available in English only?

Nextcloud has meanwhile been translated into many different languages – you can freely decide in which language the web interface should be displayed. Support is in German or English.

 

Do I have to install patches myself?

No, we’ll do it for you – for the operating system, Nextcloud itself, as well as all associated applications such as the database.

 

Do I have to take care of the hardware?

No, we’ll do that for you as well. Your server will be monitored by our Monitoring & Alarming system, where we recognize early if components such as hard disks are about to fail and we’ll organize the exchange in time.

 

How many users are available?

We’ll create up to five users in your Nextcloud instance. You want to create, delete or change a user? An e-mail to our support is all it takes.

 

How does the ordering process work?

After submitting the order form, we will email you a document in PDF format, with which you confirm your personal information and accept the terms of use. This document also contains instructions for the payment process.

Once you have made the payment, we will install your server no later than the next working day and provide you with the access data. Starting your digital freedom is done quickly and easily!

 

How long does it take to process my request?

No matter if support inquiry or order – usually you receive the same day feedback from us, but at the latest within 24h.

 

Can I have even more storage space?

We offer managed Nextcloud instances for private customers with up to 75 TB of storage. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to support@soldupe.com and we’ll call you back or organize a video chat with you.

 

What is the difference between Soldupe Cloud Services and Soldupe Standalone?

Soldupe Cloud Services is a all-inclusive offering targeted at users who have just embarked on their digital freedom journey.

By contrast, Soldupe Standalone is aimed at users who are already a few steps further and want to make full use of their digital freedom without having to deal with the technology behind it.
